People Watching

Okay, well this started out as just a doodle. I've been very restless lately, in terms of always being busy in my daily life, and also restless when it comes to my illustrations. I've been doing a lot of illustrations that are of movies or other sort of pop culture things. I've really wanted to venture outside of my comfort zone and just create things that I come up with on my own. This illustration, I guess you could say, is an "oopsie".
Like myself, most of you go places and are constantly looking around at the busy moments occurring around you with strangers you've never seen nor met. I love "people watching" when I go to my favorite places like the mall, the movie theaters, restaurants, or even the airport. Sometimes I even make scenarios in my head of what people are doing, or what their lives are like. I basically made this illustration somewhat of a "people watch".
When I started creating this, I had no clear idea of where I wanted to go with it. The only thing I knew was that I wanted it to show some sort of relationship conflict. My brain has been rotting with relationship conflict lately because of all of the Mad Men and Indie films (such as 500 Days of Summer) I've been watching with  my time off. I tried to keep the surroundings and body language between the two vague so that whoever is looking at it, creates their own story of who these two people are. I feel like the possibilities are limitless. You don't know who they are, what they could be talking about, where they are, what is going on. All you know is that there is a girl/woman, a boy/man, luggage, two chairs, and a table. So go ahead and create your own story.
