Who, What, Where, When and Why?

One thing you might have picked up from my previous posts, is that my mind goes a million miles a minute. So this image is sort of the outcome of my gorging on Mad Men along with watching romance movies from the 90's and other things I've been wrapped up in. I've really been trying to not draw specific character, actors, or even people I know. If you're a Mad Men enthusiast I'm sure you will be able to identify which characters from the show, influenced the body language and characteristics of the characters I drew.
I sort of used this as a practice and also sort of like a vendetta for the shitty quality of my previous drawing (way too small and not very detailed). I wanted to make a more detailed drawing and still venture into creating different postures and body language. I like drawing situations between people but making them vague enough to let my readers (...the small amount of them..) make up their own story about the people. I think this has to be one of my favorite illustrations I've done. I hope it comes across better than the one previously posted.
Like I said before, I like the vagueness between the "characters" in the illustration. Who are they? Where are they? What are they? I guess I just like all of the different possibilities. I feel like the only thing that is certain about this illustration, is that they are in the 60's. Maybe they aren't even in the 60's but at a "Famous Couples Through out History" prom (Never Been Kissed reference). I feel like it would be interesting to see how other people would interpret this. That's what I love about art, is all of the ways it can be interpreted and how many different places you can go with it.
