I guess you could say I'm a fan. I have a few songs of hers on my Ipod, and I've always been addicted(pardon the pun)to her old school sound. I do think it's sad that she wasted her abundance of talent and turned to "The Darkside" with an overdose the past year. I still think her music is pretty amazing and will continue to listen to it and maybe try to sing along in the car...The music will have to be loud enough to where I can't hear my tone deaf voice but that's alright.
My favorite songs of hers would have to be her rendition of Valarie, and You Know I'm No Good. Both have an infectious vibe that not many artists try to capture these days. It's very timely and that's what I love about them. I also love the lyrics. Now the lyrics are very hard for me to relate to considering most of them suggest the usage of crack (okay maybe that's an over dramatization), but she had an entire lifestyle that was completely chaotic which is very opposite to my sheltered Mid-West upbringing.
